Reset the tech tree

Give every node and building level back, get all the discovery they cost, and spend it again on a different path.

Use this when the tree you bought is not the one you want: you went for wings and now want boosters, or you would rather reach the Moon before the jets. It is a fresh start for your research, not for your programme.

Steps

  1. Open the tech tree. From the hangar's branching mark under the palette, or the Research Centre's Open tech tree.
  2. Tap the red Reset in the header, between Fit and Close. The Reset the tech tree sheet opens and says everything the reset does: the discovery you get back, the buildings going back to level 1, the contracts that end and the advances taken back, the hangar starting again from the basic rocket, and the 7-day wait. If something stands in the way, its first line says so in red, with what you have and what you need, and it offers only Not now.
  3. Tap the violet button, 100 · Reset the tree or whatever price it shows. The gems are taken, and the card under the tree says your discovery is back to spend.

What you should see

Only the first node is still green; every other tile is locked again, and the purse holds the discovery back. Spend it as you like: see Buy a tech node.

In the hangar the canvas holds the basic rocket. Saved designs and sub-assemblies with parts you no longer have drop out of the lists until you research those parts again; nothing is deleted. Your ships already flying keep every part they carry.

Every Space Center building stands at level 1. Building a level you had before costs only its discovery, no credits, as soon as the tech it needs is researched again.

The contract board starts over with fresh offers. Your programme missions are not touched, and neither are contracts on the player board.

Heads up
The gems do not come back, and the next reset waits 7 days. A reset gives back each node at today's price.
